Criminals Covering Up Their Crimes

The Pentagon urged interrogators at Guantanamo Bay to destroy handwritten notes in case they were called to testify about potentially harsh treatment of detainees, a military defense lawyer said Sunday. The lawyer for Toronto-born Omar Khadr, Lt. Cmdr. William Kuebler, said the instructions were included in an operations manual shown to him by prosecutors and suggest the U.S. deliberately thwarted evidence that could help terror suspects defend themselves at trial.

Excuse me but it is not ‘harsh treatment’ it is torture and this shows-

  1. They knew it was torture.
  2. They knew it was criminal.
  3. They conspired to destroy evidence to cover up their crimes.

You can have a regime appointed Attorney General that thinks torture is fine but Shock Horror!! criminals always tell themselves they are doing ok, this’ll work out, we’ll get away with it. It is not news a rapist thinks he didn’t rape anyone. I don’t want to hear their obfuscations, denials and euphemisms for torture, they are the weakling cowardly pleas of war criminals, all I want to hear is their sentences being passed, if America wants any kind of reputation back that needs to be domestically or at the very least at the ICC after the new president signs them up to the treaty. They should not be allowed to die of old age having never been in jail. So really imprisonment is a better option for them…you feel me?

They added that too many children were being put through the criminal justice system and the poverty experienced by one in three youngsters was unacceptable for a rich nation. The experts said more children were scared in their neighbourhoods and, citing previous studies, drank more alcohol, had deteriorating mental health and felt more pressure at school than their European peers.
