Aafia Siddiqui Convicted

Terror Fear and racism win. Read trial reports here and keep asking what happened in her missing five years that is classified and where are her missing children? This is also a sign of the continuity from Bush era to Obama era polices on human rights, torture and cherry picking the law to suit the prosecution of its global warfare.

PS. Defence team plan to appeal.

Re the plan to appeal – why have you linked to rimakader’s twitter feed? Is she part of the defence?

    From the FB group:

“A simple act that everyone can perform in addition to du’a. Write to our sister Aafia: AAFIA SIDDIQUI # 90279-054 MDC BROOKLYN METROPOLITAN DETENTION CENTER P.O. BOX 329002 BROOKLYN, NY 11232”

She’s where I got the news of the appeal.

  4. RickB Says:

Tina Monshipour, an attorney for Aafia’s family, said after the verdict was announced: “This verdict is being subject to an appeal. There were a lot of unfair decisions. She was portrayed as a terrorist even if there were no terrorism charges in this trial. This is one of those cases in which we see prejudice and bias invade the courtroom.”

Nope, thanks. That makes further disturbing reading. A modern witchhunt.

Judicial Magistrate (JM) East Zabiha Khattak has summoned Dr Aafia Siddqui’s sister, Dr Fauzia Siddiqui, on February 6, to nominate people in the case pertaining to the alleged kidnapping of Dr Aafia Siddiqui and her children. The orders were issued after the investigation officer (IO) submitted a report in the case.

Dr Aafia Siddiui and her three children, seven-year-old Mohammed Ahmed, five-year-old Maryam, and eight-month-old Suleman, were allegedly kidnapped on March 28, 2003, by intelligence agencies without any warrants or notice.

In his report, IO Shahid Qureshi said that according to the statements recorded by Dr Fauzia Siddiqui, Dr Aafia SiddiquiÕs mother Asmat Siddiqui, and her son Mohammed Ahmed, FBI personnel had picked up Dr Aafia Siddiqui and her children. He told the court that his inspection of the site of the incident corroborated these statements.

He further submitted that the case was declared A-class after the instructions of senior officials, and added that no one had been nominated in the kidnapping case yet.
