Bonus time as banks pay out £40bn
Alistair Darling warns of toughest spending cuts for 20 years
Ynys Mon, UK.
The blog is called ten percent because of what Kurt Vonnegut wrote when remembering Susan Sontag - She was asked what she had learned from the Holocaust, and she said that 10 percent of any population is cruel, no matter what, and that 10 percent is merciful, no matter what, and that the remaining 80 percent could be moved in either direction.-
And I'm writing it because I need the therapy and I lust for world domination.

Is Darling channeling Obama?

It’s the global neoliberal ‘consensus’ some variance but they all impose orthodox economic theory because it suits their funders in corporations. Cuts now is very obviously shock doctrine in process. So they all channel each other because they all have the same hymn sheet provided to them by bought and paid for economists & bankers.

And in other economic news, today we heard that all the US companies bailed out by Washington have posted record profits. Bully for them!
I think it’s only fair to now demand that they pay back their bailouts…with interest. At credit-card rates, naturally!

I like that thinking, and under the new credit agreements where the people can alter rates at will and penalise them for….well anything including paying the bill off, own medicine time!
