Global Peace Index

And the figures are in for ’09! Possibly only as meaningful as the top 40 but, notice the bottom four are nations with US support/involvement/intervention while the US is at 83 sandwiched between the Ukraine and Kazakhstan, hey Mr ONobel give peace a chance eh?

If the peace movement doesn’t start pressuring Obama, it will get worse.

That’s why I think it is important for the peace movement to take on imperialism and nationalism, the warfare ecology is not a party political issue at the moment, dems used it to get votes with some notable exceptions. Much the same here, the two big parties are not peaceful but just criticise the others positions for vote scoring. Labour should in theory be less warlike but not with the New Labour cabal that have captured it.

OMG so you’ve found the GPI too. Imperialism/nationalism as opposed to war ecology, OK, will keep in mind.

  4. RickB Says:

Hey Professor Zero! I think until Dem supporters figure out it’s the imperialism that’s the problem not just the GOP they will keep backing warmakers who attack the other party but not the miiltray-industrial-political-cultural spine of the US Empire= the warfare ecology of imperialism.
