R2 Comes Through With The Plans For The Death Star

You know my previous post about the Empire’s embassy in Baghdad and the indentured servitude conditions of the people building it (and how the plans were yanked from the web) well not so quick there hombre-

It is 104 acres, has shops, cinema, barracks, pool, mall, restaurants, fire station, power and water plants. A secure ‘classified’ structure, room for 380 families. And all built by foreign workers who are treated like slaves and several have died.

Links to David Phinney’s reporting on the labour abuse here. And his blog here. David kindly left a comment on my previous post and mentioned-

More than a few people have suggested that the State Department was more interested in shutting down my sources by making the ruckus over the the plans that were published.

And as I noted the huge permanent base make the ‘debate’ over withdrawal seem kinda disingenuous. As this bit of gossip shows:

Friends of his from Texas were shocked recently to find him nearly wild-eyed, thumping himself on the chest three times while he repeated “I am the president!” He also made it clear he was setting Iraq up so his successor could not get out of “our country’s destiny.”

h/t to The Unapologetic Mexican for inspiring the post title.

And accidentally it turns out to have loads of oil, that George Bush should play the lottery with that kind of luck.
