Just read this-
A specialist rape support service marking its 25th anniversary fears it may not have funding to see out summer. North Wales Rape and Sexual Abuse Support Centre (RASA) says it may have to close in two months. The service, with one full-time and one part-time staff member and 50 volunteers, receives 2,000 calls a year and supports 88 clients.
It is not as if we are overwhelmed with such valuable services around here! Read the rest of the article here. Find NW RASA at rapecrisis.org.uk

From Harriet Harman’s site: http://www.equalities.gov.uk/what_we_do/violence_against_women/sexual_violence_and_abuse.aspx
“Rape is one of the most devastating offences for victims. It violates the basic right of women, men and children to be treated with dignity and respect. The Government’s main focus is to ensure that victims get the support and services they need in the aftermath of rape or sexual assault.”
Doesn’t quite tally does it!!!
