Poland Tells George Not Tonight

(Reuters) – Poland spurned as insufficient on Friday a U.S. offer to boost its air defenses in return for basing anti-missile interceptors on its soil but said it remained open to talks with Washington.

Apparently Washington’s amusing ‘threat from…er Iran, yeah that’s right you heard us, Iran wants to attack Poland’ scenario (tune in next week for the State Department’s threat of time travelling Nazis re-invading helped by a zombie Stalin storyline) did not overcome self-respect and I guess they are holding out for a bigger bribe offer.
